Hot-Headed Referee Snaps While Ejecting Texas High School Football Player In Wacky Scene

The fact that he did this to high school kids … LMAO.

A high school football referee in Texas is facing backlash after footage captured him hurling a player’s shoe and shouting profanities at him during an ejection in a postseason contest.

Video captured and posted by KFDX reporter Ben Coker shows the head referee in the Class 3A Division II regional semifinal playoff game between Henrietta and Gunter signaling for a player from the former to be ejected. As the footage continues, the referee turns toward the Henrietta sideline and starts shouting, directing multiple profanities at players and coaches. The official then clenched both fists to his eyes, mimicking a crying kid.

“It was a hornet’s nest at this point,” said Coker, per BroBible. “Every fan on both sides are on their feet, screaming at the referees, screaming at the fans on the other side of the field. It was chaos.”

And then there’s the whole thing with the referee throwing a player’s shoe like it was a flag … just check out this craziness.

WATCH:

Who knows, maybe the referee is feeling the stress of this economy (aren’t we all?), and he just happened to snap. You know how teenagers are. But that’s the thing … the fact that he spazzed out on high school kids? Minors?

Oof.
