House Dems mocked for ‘cute selfie’ briming with clueless self-indulgence

Democrats are posting tone-deaf photos as a government shutdown looms, but thankfully, X users are around to set them straight.

It all started with the bizarre decision to post a photograph of House Democrats posing for a selfie with a caption about getting to work for the American people. The strange post quickly made the rounds and garnered 1.2 million views as of this writing.

“House Democrats are in DC and ready to cancel the cuts, lower the costs, save health care,” the caption reads.

While this probably played out really well in leftist focus groups, the real people on social media who had to see it were less than impressed. Like Sean Spicer, who had a question for the gathered lawmakers.

Even Adam Kinzinger wasn’t impressed by the theatrics:

These selfie things need to stop guys. Honestly the democrats were great at social media but social media moved on from them. The kitschy, goofy “choose your fighter” type stuff needs to stop.
