‘I Must Have A Few Procedures’: Dolly Parton Cancels Las Vegas Residency Amid Health Crisis

Dolly Parton has postponed her upcoming Las Vegas residency, telling fans she is facing health challenges and needs to undergo “a few procedures.”

The country music icon announced Sunday that she would not be able to rehearse for the six December shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. (RELATED: Dolly Parton Shares Devastating News Of Her Husband’s Death)

“I have been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures,” Parton wrote in an Instagram statement. “As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, although it’s not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!”

The 79-year-old singer told fans she could not deliver the kind of performance they expect.

“You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you,” she said.

Parton did not share details about her condition but kept an upbeat tone, saying she only needed time to recover before returning to the stage. She added that new dates were set nine months later than originally planned.

“Don’t worry about me quitting the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet, but I believe he is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you,” she said.

Parton had planned six shows between Dec. 4 and Dec. 13, but they have now been rescheduled for September 2026.

Fans quickly flooded the comments on her Instagram page with well-wishes, prayers and messages of support for her recovery.
