Former MSNBC host Joy Reid is back with the least surprising announcement of all time.
Reid is addressing allegations that she is “DEI, or an affirmative action baby,” and not only is she confirming it, but she’s also quite proud of it.

“As many times as I have been called ‘DEI’ or ‘an affirmative action baby,’ you know what I never get? Mad. Because I am actually very much in favor of DEI,” Reid gushed. “I don’t take that as an insult, because I understand that that means that I’m just damn excellent and innovative, and yeah, I am DEI. I’m bringing diversity, and that’s bringing something great. You’re not insulting me.”
“If you say, ‘Oh you’re an affirmative action person that into Harvard,’ I’m like yeah! I got into Harvard with affirmative action! And Yale! And Brown! And Vasser! And the University of Denver!” she enthusiastically continued. ”
Reid has said a lot of absurd things in her day, but this is probably right up there in the top five most bizarre admissions she’s made on camera.
X users had a lot to say about the clip:
Inverted Martin Luther King says:
“Judged them by the color of their skin, not the content of their character.”

While some people get into college because of their achievements, Joy got into college because of the color of her skin.
This is DEI, in a nutshell.

She has to wear her name on her sweatshirt because people are already forgetting who she is.

I’m glad she is finally willing to admit that she wasn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer.

The sad part of the story is that she apparently doesn’t have any friend good enough to tell her that being admitted to college and being hired because of programs to reduce standards for politically favored groups isn’t something to be proud of.

So being black or a person of colour is all it takes to get into college, and that’s good???
As an Asian, this is one of the most dishonourable things you can do to your soul.

In other words, she was not qualified for anything and she took seats in College, and jobs in the workplace from people who were legitimately qualified.
DEI = Didn’t Earn It
