California Governor Gavin Newsom slammed Joe Rogan, using more of the incendiary rhetoric now regularly tossed around by Democrats who are inciting mentally unstable elements of their base to engage in acts of political violence.
One of the most flagrant offenders, the White House hopeful assailed the podcasting king during an appearance on Friday’s edition of the “Higher Learning” podcast, reacting to Rogan’s criticism of him as a “bullsh*t artist” who has ruined California during his stint as governor.
“Joe, why won’t you have me on the show?” Newsom asked in a teaser clip posted to X by host Van Lathan.

“He won’t have me on the show. It’s a one-way, and he has guests coming on, attacking and bashing, but he won’t have me on the show. Full stop. He should have me on the show,” he said, practically begging Rogan for an invite, adding that he’d give him a knuckle sandwich.
“I’m not afraid to go — I’m punching Joe Rogan, that son of a bitch is not used to that,” the 2028 Democrat frontrunner declared. “He’s gonna dismiss it, he’s gonna laugh it off, tough guy and all that. But is he gonna have me on? I don’t know.”
It seems that Rogan embedded a bug firmly up Newsom’s sphincter when he roasted him on a recent episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” his popular Spotify show.
Joe Rogan delivers some tough words for Gavin Newsom, who wants to be president “SO BAD.”
“You can’t ruin a city and then go on to ruin a state and say, ‘Guys, that was just practice. Once I get in as president, I’m gonna fix it all.”’

Ridiculing Newsom for wanting to be president “sooo bad,” Rogan pointed out that his dismal track record in California shouldn’t be ignored by voters.
“You can’t ruin a city and then go on to ruin a state and then say, ‘Guys, that was just practice. Once I get in as president, I’m going to fix it all,” he said, adding that Newsom is just a “bullsh*t artist.”
Before his tough talk, Newsom pleaded for a shot at appealing to Rogan’s massive audience, suggesting that the host is too “chicken” to have him on in a post to X.
Joe Rogan is too to have me on his show and expose his listeners to the truth, so I’ll put it here.
California is:
– 4th largest economy in the world
– #1 in manufacturing
– #1 in farming
– #1 in new business starts.
– #1 for tech and VC investments
– #1 for Fortune 500… https://t.co/w6EprxNYud— Gavin Newsom (@GavinNewsom) October 8, 2025
Rogan famously fled Newsom’s left-wing dystopia for the safety of Texas and has been a frequent critic of the governor whom he branded as a “f**king conman” on more than one occasion.
“Nobody believes in that guy. That guy’s a f**king conman. Everything he did in California, from trying to mandate vaccines for kids, when it was totally unnecessary, to being caught out in public without a mask and lying about the fact that he was outdoors,” the host said during a 2023 show.
He also had a savage critique of the state under Newsom, saying that California has gone “full communist. It’s out of its f**king mind” during a rant last year.
