INSIDER: Dems’ message to America on violent crime seems to be just relax and enjoy it

Legendary college basketball coach Bobby Knight once remarked, “I think that if rape is inevitable, relax and enjoy it,” and Democrats seem to have embraced a similar attitude to rampant crime in big cities.

Knight’s infamous comment set off a firestorm but there will be crickets from the media over the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee essentially telling Americans to just suck it up and deal with crime, because they were complicit in unleashing the wave of violent mayhem that swept the nation after the tragic death of a certain black junkie and career criminal who was turned into a martyr figure by the party.

This week, Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) basically told CNN that crime is no big deal, a stunning example of the type of criminal-coddling that the party has come to stand for, a truly lawless bunch.

“Crime has ALWAYS been part of our history,” said Raskin, a former radical leftist college professor and one of the scummiest lawmakers in the history of the United States Congress. He then claimed that “crime is down,” a talking point endlessly repeated by Democrats and their clown chorus in the media, that’s based on highly dubious numbers that have been cooked to misrepresent the amount of crime in Democrat-controlled cities.

Despite the Democrat opposition to Trump’s crime cleanup, Americans are overwhelmingly in favor, and it’s not one of the 80-20 issues that the party of “Defund The Police” is on the wrong side of. It’s more like 99-1.

Trump is already getting smashingly good results in the nation’s capital, so much so that even Democrat Mayor Muriel Bowser – a fierce critic of his – is now giving him credit, acknowledging that she’s “grateful” for the help which has resulted in a big drop in carjackings, crimes that at times end with a victim going to the morgue.

But Democrats are fighting like hell to prevent the successful prototype from being rolled out nationally, and in Chicago, filthy rich fatso Governor JB Pritzker is vowing to stand in the way of any efforts to deploy the troops to deal with the “youth” crime problem that has for years made the Midwest metropolis into a danger area on par with lawless third world hellholes.

And nothing quite speaks to a lack of seriousness about violent crime than being more worried that a transgender mass shooter is addressed by his proper pronouns than his murderous rampage that left two young kids dead.

While Raskin and other Democrats think that Americans should just “relax and enjoy it” when it comes to having their existence violated by violent thugs, Trump is showing that there is a choice, and they don’t have to live that way.
