INSIDER: Scum seeks its own level in NYC mayoral race

In the least surprising political news of the month, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries has formally endorsed communist lunatic Zohran Mamdani to be the next mayor of New York City.

Having remained coy about the closely watched mayoral contest for months while shrewdly keeping his options open, the top House Democrat officially threw his support behind the Ugandan-born Muslim menace on Friday in yet another sign that the race is all but finished.

Jeffries’ endorsement came via a statement that he posted to X in which he both threw down the race card and made it all about Trump, a man who got under his skin last month when he posted an irreverent AI video to social media portraying the minority leader in an oversized sombrero and sporting a Mexican bandito mustache, poking fun at a man who is demanding that illegal aliens be given free healthcare to reopen the government.

“For decades, working-class neighborhoods of color have been hurt by gentrification and housing displacement,” he said. “I support our nominee’s strong commitment to building a city where New Yorkers can afford to live.”

“In this environment, we have a clear obligation to push back against the national nightmare being visited on the American people by Republican extremism,” Jeffries claimed. “Donald Trump must be given no space to haunt the people of New York City.”

Like Mamdani, the minority leader believes that unproductive leeches – foreign ones, at that – are entitled to be showered with freebies paid for by hardworking citizens.

Mamdani has already made it clear that he plans to tax the hell out of whitey to pay for his “affordable housing” pledge, hundreds of thousands of units worth. Jeffries no doubt approves of the race-based redistributive scheme.

Less a true believer than an opportunistic parasite, Jeffries is looking to hitch onto his party’s rising star, one who is set to go supernova once he dispenses with the formalities and settles in at City Hall where he will have an adoring media fawning over him on a daily basis, all but casting a carpet of rose petals before his feet wherever he goes.

Sensing a done deal, there is little risk for Jeffries. The high rollers who are propping up disgraced New York governor Andrew Cuomo have failed to bully GOP candidate Curtis Sliwa to drop out when they should have dumped the granny-killing cad and gotten behind the Guardian Angels legend, who is the better choice. Instead, by backing Cuomo, they have only succeeded in splitting the anti-Mamdani vote.

Hakeem the Dream’s nod comes after current and outgoing Mayor Eric Adams threw his name behind Cuomo, which, considering his unpopularity, could be the kiss of death.

It also leaves shutdown orchestrator Chuck Schumer on an island, leaving the top Senate Democrat little choice but to also give Mamdani his blessing, or risk losing the AOC faction that has motivated his decision to screw the entire country to stave off a loss in the upcoming Democrat primary to the former bartender.

Jeffries’ nod comes on the eve of early voting, which begins Saturday at 9 a.m., and with the AOC-Bernie Sanders machine working to get out the vote for their fellow commie traveler, turnout should be brisk, and barring a late October surprise, Mamdani should easily cruise to victory on November 4.

It was inevitable that Jeffries would endorse Mamdani because, after all, scum seeks its own level.
