Sometimes life comes at you hard. That’s what the Democrats are finding out now that a war between Israel and Iran has thrown cold water on their big weekend insurrection against President Donald J. Trump.
Democrats were feeling mighty confident that, for the first time since Kamala was clobbered, they had the momentum with the media presenting a grossly distorted narrative of the Los Angeles anti-ICE riots, a leader of their confederacy of dunces in Gavin Newsom and a new martyr in hot-headed grandstanding Senator Alex Padilla who was treated roughly after he allegedly charged DHS Secretary Kristi Noem.
The party’s galaxy of front groups and NGOs was getting much mileage off of the “No Kings” rallies, which were ready to rumble in blue cities to create the illusion of mass national dissent against Trump, the military parade in Washington, D.C., and his tough immigration policies. The stars had finally aligned in their favor, so Democrats thought.
Then Israel bombed Iran.
On Thursday night, the vital U.S. ally took decisive action against the Islamic republic after it refused to halt its nuclear program and the pursuit of a bomb that it could potentially use to wipe Israel off the face of the map, launching what it called a “preemptive strike” that took out top military leadership, scientists who were working on the doomsday weapons, and the Islamic republic’s nuclear facilities.
So much wind was sucked out of their sails that the party couldn’t even muster their usual attacks against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu whom they spent months demanding that he be arrested over the Jewish nation’s military operation against Hamas terrorists in Gaza.
There were the hardcore Jew-haters like Reps. Pramila Jayapal, Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar, who grumbled on social media, and all that communist anti-Netanyahu ringleader Sen. Bernie Sanders could muster was a short, tepid post to X bemoaning the “illegal strikes” that could lead to a wider war, one that could drag in the United States.
Talks to address Iran’s nuclear program were planned for Sunday. Instead Netanyahu launched illegal strikes on Iran, killing a top ceasefire negotiator, undermining U.S. diplomatic efforts & putting countless innocent lives at risk. We can’t be dragged into another Netanyahu war.

Tough-talking badass Newsom has also swallowed his tongue.
Like ants who just had their hill stomped on, the now-totally demoralized bunch were counting on sensational media coverage of their anti-Trump insurrection. But with missiles raining down on Tel Aviv and the potential that Iran could activate its domestic terror cells at any moment, the media has far more important things to be concerned with, especially with the possibility that the Middle East may explode and the U.S. may soon be called to protect Israel, all but ensuring yet another foreign war.

World events aren’t going to cause the “No Kings” weekend to be called off, not with as much time and money that’s been put into it, but by hyping the anti-Trump rallies, the media could be playing right into Iran’s hands by promoting disunity and sedition against Trump and the legitimately elected government at a time of imminent war.
It is unlikely that they would want to be accused of undermining the administration at a time of crisis, no matter how tempting that it may be, especially after the Terry Moran embarrassment further exposed their bias.
Life must be sucking really hard for Democrats right now with their big plans being blown to smithereens like Iran’s nuclear program.
