Actress Sydney Sweeney spoke candidly in a recent interview with The Times, revealing details about her diet, personal life, and experiences in the entertainment industry.
The 27-year-old, known for her role on HBO’s Euphoria, shared insights into how she maintains her figure, confirmed her breakup with longtime partner Jonathan Davino, and responded to recent criticism from within Hollywood.

When asked about her diet, Sweeney described her eating habits with humor, saying they resemble those of a young child.
“Cheeseburgers and chicken nuggets and sweet potato fries and chocolate fries and crap pack cheese and hot dogs and peanut bacon sandwiches,” she said, listing off some of her favorite foods.
She added that she also enjoys baking desserts such as marshmallow rice crispy cakes, chocolate chip cookies, and Nutella brownies.

Sweeney also addressed public speculation about her relationship with Jonathan Davino.
The pair, who began dating in 2018 and got engaged in 2022, had been the subject of split rumors earlier this year.
When asked if she was still planning a wedding, she replied, “No.”
She confirmed her single status with a “yes” and added, “I’m learning a lot about myself, spending more time with my friends. And I’m loving it.”
Davino, 41, served as a producer on Anyone But You, a romantic comedy in which Sweeney starred.
The film, released in 2023, was commercially successful, though it received mixed reviews from critics.
During the interview, Sweeney also commented on challenges she’s faced within the film industry.
Without naming individuals, she remarked, “It’s the women who give me the hardest time.”
The remark appeared to reference a public incident in April 2024 when veteran Hollywood producer Carol Baum made critical remarks about Sweeney during a live discussion with New York Times film critic Janet Maslin.
Baum stated that Sweeney was “not pretty” and “can’t act,” and described Anyone But You as “unwatchable.”
Baum later walked back her comments, stating that it wasn’t her style to be “crapping on an actor like that in public.”
Sweeney, who did not address the incident directly in her comments to The Times, nonetheless reignited discussion about the episode with her remarks on the difficulties she’s faced, particularly from other women in the industry.
In addition to her acting career, Sweeney has taken on a larger role behind the camera.
She launched her production company, Fifty-Fifty Films, in 2020 and emphasized that she is heavily involved in all aspects of production.

“I have to be like, I want to be in the room, I want to sit in every single meeting and want to be involved in every decision, I want to be taken seriously as a producer,” she said.
Sweeney added that she has learned to be “very direct” and “very blunt” in her approach.
Sweeney’s comments come amid broader discussions in the entertainment industry about the treatment of young women in high-profile roles, as well as the evolving dynamics between talent and producers.
She continues to balance her on-screen work with responsibilities as a producer as she navigates both public and professional scrutiny.
