Fox News host Jesse Watters tipped his hat to President Donald Trump for creating “great programming” as he discussed the president’s Antifa roundtable at the White House.
Martha MacCallum asked Watters about Trump’s meeting during a segment on “The Five,” prompting the host of “Jesse Watters Primetime” to quip that the president was acting as a “Fox News producer.”
“So, Jesse, one of the things that the president’s considering is the Insurrection Act because a federal judge in Portland has blocked his ability to go at this the way he wants to,” MacCallum said, referring to Trump’s efforts to deploy active-duty soldiers in the wake of chaos in Democrat-run cities by far-left activists.
“Do you think we’re gonna see the Insurrection Act employed in order to get more National Guard to these places?” she asked.

“I wish we didn’t have to see it,” Watters responded. “But Democrats are not doing their job, so we might have to see it.”
After citing a poll in which he said a majority of Americans feel Trump is “deporting the right types of people,” Watters turned his focus on the president’s effect on news content.
“It is funny to watch Trump be a Fox News producer,” he said.
“We wake up in the morning, and we look at the news, and you see Trump is holding an Antifa roundtable at the White House. And you just say, Thank you. Thank you, Donald Trump. This is the best,” he continued, referring to Wednesday’s roundtable that included Cabinet members, independent journalists, and conservative influencers.
“We know all of these reporters that are around this roundtable. Nick Sortor, [Katie] Daviscourt, Andy Ngo. They’re, like, guests on our shows,” Watters said. “The mainstream media’s probably never heard of any of these people, and this is why this is such great programming.”

Andy Ngo, Katie Daviscourt, James Klug, Savanah Hernandez, Nick Shirley, Brandi Kruse, and Julio Rojas attended, as did conservative Nick Sortor, who recounted being attacked near the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility and then being arrested, rather than protected, by Portland police.
During the White House meeting, Trump directed Sortor to give U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi any pertinent information on protestors outside the Portland ICE facility responsible for burning a U.S. flag.
