‘It’s Just Sad’: Charles Barkley Says People Need To Be ‘Adults’ After Second Fatal Federal Agent-Involved Shooting

The game between the Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves scheduled for Saturday was postponed following a fatal shooting in Minneapolis involving a federal officer. During the broadcast of “Inside the NBA” after the shooting, television host and former NBA star Charles Barkley shared his perspective, urging people to “step up and be adults.”

Barkley described the situation as both “sad” and “scary,” noting that “two people have died for no reason.”

He was referring to the Saturday shooting and the earlier incident involving Renee Good, who was fatally shot Jan. 7 by an Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent in Minneapolis. Barkley warned that the current trajectory is troubling, stating that things are “going to end badly. It’s already ended badly twice.”

According to the NBA, the postponed Warriors-Timberwolves matchup has been rescheduled for Sunday at 5:30 p.m. ET, taking place at Target Center in Minneapolis.

The league explained that the rescheduling was done to “prioritize the safety and security of the Minneapolis community.”
