James Carville Claims the ‘Walls Are Closing In’ on Trump Again [WATCH]

Democratic strategist James Carville said during a recent podcast appearance that the “walls are closing in” on President Donald Trump, repeating a phrase that has circulated for years among Trump critics, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

Carville made the remarks while speaking with co-host Al Hunt, according to a transcript published by Real Clear Politics.

Carville began the segment by recommending Hunt’s latest Substack column.

“Well, first of all, I read your column, and I recommend it to everyone. Where can our listeners or viewers find your columns? On Substack?” Carville said. Hunt replied, “On Substack, right.”

Carville added, “Yeah, okay. I highly recommend it because I read it this morning. You’re absolutely right.”

Carville then shifted to Trump. “The more the walls closing in on him, the more dangerous that he gets. And they’re closing in on him. I can’t tell you how fast they’re closing in on him,” he said. “And he knows that.”

Carville went on to speculate about Trump’s physical condition and political prospects.

“I don’t want anybody to get sick, but I assume that he’s aware of the fact that he probably has some pretty significant health issues. He’s certainly aware of the fact that he has really, really significant downside political standing right now.”

He also criticized individuals surrounding the president. “He’s gotta realize at some point that he’s appointed a pack of buffoons that can’t do anything, but he’s a big enough buffoon that he may not realize it,” Carville said.

Carville expressed concern about the years ahead, stating, “But I am just worried sick about the next three years. And I think your point, because he’s not gonna get better.” He concluded by commenting on aging.

“You and I know this, age is like an elevator that doesn’t go down. The best you can hope for is you stay the same for a month or two. I keep looking for it to go down a little bit.”

Carville, a longtime Democratic Party strategist and adviser to former President Bill Clinton, has frequently offered commentary on Trump throughout recent election cycles.
