Jamie Lee Curtis Embarrassed After Joy Behar’s On-Air Husband Joke [WATCH]

Actress Jamie Lee Curtis appeared on The View Tuesday morning, December 2, to promote her upcoming film Ella McKay, but the interview briefly derailed after co-host Joy Behar delivered an unexpected joke that left Curtis momentarily speechless, as reported by Decider.

During the segment, Curtis described preparing Thanksgiving dinner and explained that she had learned how to spatchcock a turkey.

She called the process “gross and violent,” prompting Behar to interject and suggest, “Let’s drop this whole topic.”

Despite the exchange, the conversation moved forward until Behar revisited the theme while asking about Curtis’s role as Donna Berzatto on FX’s hit series The Bear.

Behar asked whether Curtis needed to “learn how to cook, besides spatchcocking,” for the role.

Curtis replied, “You know, I am a marital cook. I’m a maternal cook, meaning I did not learn.” Before she could continue, Behar added, “She spatchcocks her husband.”

The line drew loud laughter and applause from the studio audience. Curtis paused, then turned toward Behar and remarked, “We should go on the road, babe.”

After a brief silence, she added:

“Um, wow. I’m actually blushing and I don’t blush.”

Co-host Sunny Hostin stepped in to redirect the conversation, asking Curtis whether they should move on to discussing Ella McKay. “Thank you, Sunny,” Curtis responded.

The pair appeared to end the conversation on friendly terms, as Curtis later took Behar’s hand and smiled before the segment ended.

Curtis has a history of lively appearances on The View. In 2024, she brought gifts for the hosts and joked that she was “Scrooge’s slightly slutty sister,” prompting Behar to reply, “Slightly?”

Curtis laughed and responded, “Hey, now! I’m an old married lady, as you know. Back in the [day], you know. But you know, I am a little Scrooge-y.”
