Now, Affleck is reportedly willing to slash the price even further to sever all remaining ties with Lopez.

Affleck and Lopez, once dubbed “Bennifer” by the media, purchased the 38,000-square-foot estate in May 2023 for a staggering $60.8 million in cash.

The opulent home features 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms, along with a 5,000-square-foot guest penthouse, a caretaker’s house, a two-bedroom guardhouse, and a 12-car garage.

The property also boasts lavish amenities such as a home bar, gym, boxing ring, basketball and pickleball courts, and parking space for up to 80 vehicles.

Initially listed in July 2023 for $68 million, the mansion’s asking price has already been cut by $8 million—but it remains unsold.

Sources close to the situation say that Affleck is willing to accept an even lower price just to be rid of the property and, symbolically, the remnants of his relationship with Lopez.

“Ben and JLo slashed the price on their Beverly Hills mansion for $8 million less than they paid for it, but this is nothing to Ben,” an insider told the Daily Mail.

“He really just wants this to be sold so that he can cut the final cord that keeps him and Jennifer intertwined.”

According to the source, the luxurious home was more Lopez’s idea than Affleck’s, and its purchase created tension from the start.

“[Ben] knows [Jennifer] will always have a presence in his life with their kids remaining best friends, but this house is the one last thing that is a symbol of their marriage,” the source explained.

“Ultimately, he just hopes that they find a buyer soon and does not care that he takes a multi-million cut. His marriage and divorce cost him millions and what is another couple million? It is a small price to pay for Ben.”

Since the split, both Affleck and Lopez have moved on to new residences.

Affleck initially rented a bachelor pad in Brentwood for $100,000 a month before purchasing a $20 million home in Los Angeles. Lopez, on the other hand, bought a $21 million mansion in Hidden Hills in February.

Her 10,046-square-foot estate sits on 2.5 acres and features a barn, stables, riding arena, guest house, pool, private theater, chef’s kitchen, and fully equipped gym.

As for Affleck, his focus now appears to be on personal growth and closing the chapter on his turbulent relationship with Lopez.

“Ben has to grow and move on. He just wants to live his life that, for the most part, has been very fortunate,” another source shared. “Ben has had a lot of wins, and with that comes a few losses.”

“He can compartmentalize what is important in life,” the insider continued. “He’s learned over the years what is important.”

Affleck and Lopez’s story stretches back more than two decades. They first met in 2001 on the set of the romantic comedy Gigli and became engaged the following year.

However, they famously called off their wedding in 2003 just days before the ceremony.

Each went on to marry and divorce other partners—Affleck with actress Jennifer Garner, with whom he shares three children, and Lopez with singer Marc Anthony, the father of her twins.

Their reunion in 2021 captured the public’s imagination, culminating in a 2022 wedding that seemed to signal a fairy-tale ending.

Unfortunately, reality quickly set in, and Lopez filed for divorce exactly two years later. Their split was finalized in January of this year.

While the romance may be over, the emotional and financial aftermath clearly lingers—especially in the form of their unsold mansion.
