Jimbo Fisher Looking To Make Return To College Football

College football, make room! Jimbo might be back!

The former head coach is keeping it real about wanting to make a return to college football.

Fisher was fired by Texas A&M in the 2023 campaign, and with that being the case, the Aggies were forced to pay him $77.5 million to fulfill the rest of his contract in a buyout. That figure is a record. But despite having money that most of us can only dream about, Fisher wants to get back to coaching. Tallying a 45-25 record in his six years as A&M‘s head coach, Fisher recently made an appearance on the “Trials to Triumph” podcast, and pretty much put his resume out there while being completely honest about wanting to return to coaching.

“I’m 59, in great shape and healthy. I’ve had success everywhere we’ve ever been. The end at Texas A&M, it’s unfortunate, but we also had the highest-ranked team they ever had there in 2020,” said Fisher

“I’ve won 72 percent of my games, won 80 percent of my playoff games. I’ve been fortunate to win a national championship as a head coach and assistant. I miss the relationships with players. I would be very interested in still doing it. I still think I’ve got a lot to give. I’d like to get back out there.”

With how disastrous things are in Tallahassee right now, I say Florida State should bring back Jimbo Fisher. Moving away from him was truly one of the worst decisions that program has made.

Make it right, FSU. Here’s your chance.
