Kamala Harris cackles over Americans being spied on through wireless earbuds

Every time she opens her mouth, former Vice President Kamala Harris proves that America dodged a serious bullet.

She joined Stephen Colbert’s late-night show, where she joked about people listening in on your conversations via your wireless earphones, which she learned while in classified intelligence briefings. Instead of being horrified that the average voter might have their digital privacy violated, she cackled.

Watch:

“And that’s me on a call, so you’ll see my phone is actually on my lap, and you know- I’ve been teased about this, but I like these kinds of earpods that have the thing,” she said, gesturing to older wired headphones. “I’ve served on the Senate Intelligence Committee, I have been in classified briefings, and I’m telling you, don’t be on the train using your AirPods and thinking somebody can’t listen to your conversation.”

“I’m just telling you, that’s a little bit more secure,” she added, laughing by herself.

While she and Colbert may have been excited to gloss over that shocking bit of information, X users were horrified. Others were just glad they don’t have to listen to her voice for the next four years:

At another point in the show, Colbert asked Harris to point to a definitive leader in the Democrat Party. What followed was a serving of word salad so hefty that it belongs on the Weight Watchers menu.

Watch:

“I think it is a mistake for us who want to figure out how to get out and through this, to get out of it, to put it on the shoulders of any one person. It’s really on all of our shoulders,” she said.
