Kamala’s Stepdaughter Claims She Feels ‘Trauma’ Voting In Same Spot She Voted for Harris [WATCH]

Ella Emhoff, stepdaughter of former Vice President Kamala Harris, said she felt “a little trauma” returning to her New York City polling station on Tuesday during the city’s Democratic mayoral primary, as reported by Fox News.

Emhoff, who cast her vote at the same location in November 2024 for her stepmother’s failed presidential campaign, shared her remarks in a video posted to Instagram.

“You know, I’m feeling a little trauma walking to the same polling station that I did to vote for Kamala,” Emhoff said in the now-expired Instagram story.

“And you know, I’m just feeling a lot of hope.”

Later in the video, Emhoff showed off her “I Voted” sticker and said she was “feeling a huge mix of emotions,” while celebrating New Yorkers who “rallied behind Zohran.”

Emhoff was referring to Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic Socialist who has claimed victory in the primary.

Mamdani, who represents Queens in the New York State Assembly, ran a campaign pushing proposals including free public transit, universal childcare for children as young as six weeks, and a city-run network of grocery stores.

Emhoff endorsed Mamdani in May and actively promoted his candidacy on social media in the weeks leading up to the election.

At one point, she participated in a social media trend, recording a video at Brooklyn Steel — a popular music venue — saying, “I’m passing the phone to the next mayor of New York City, who’s going to make New York happier, healthier and more affordable.”

Emhoff also urged her followers not to rank former Governor Andrew Cuomo on their ballots.

Cuomo, who was seen as the primary competition to Mamdani, conceded the race after unofficial results showed Mamdani with the lead. Official results from the New York City Board of Elections are expected July 1.

Emhoff joined other celebrity attendees — including Cynthia Nixon and Kal Penn — at Mamdani’s election night watch party.

Mamdani’s candidacy has been met with sharp criticism from Republicans and centrist Democrats alike.

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) described him as “a radical, Defund-the-Police, Communist, raging antisemite,” warning that his potential nomination underscores the extreme direction of the city’s Democratic leadership.

The Democratic Socialist’s policy proposals and his past statements about Israel have generated significant backlash from opponents who argue his agenda would further destabilize a city already struggling with affordability, public safety, and trust in leadership.
