Kathy Hilton Reveals Husband Rick Scared Off Burglars By Firing Off Shotgun

Kathy Hilton says her husband, Rick Hilton, grabbed a shotgun and opened fire after confronting a trio of burglars who broke into their Los Angeles home Nov. 15.

The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum told Extra she was in Las Vegas during the break-in, and that the suspects smashed through the glass while their security guard was stationed at a guest house. Hilton said Rick heard the commotion, armed himself and confronted the intruders as they allegedly forced open the master bedroom door, yelling, “Get the f-ck out of here. She added that after the burglars fled, Rick fired shots into the air from his office.

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed a burglary report at the Hiltons’ address at 11:48 p.m., noting no suspect description was available and no arrests had been made.

Officers did not publicly identify the homeowners, but a spokesperson for Kathy Hilton told NBC News the incident was real and that “everyone is fine.”

Hilton said she has since increased security at the property.

That same night, burglars also hit the Los Angeles home of her “Real Housewives” castmate Sutton Stracke, who said in a statement the suspects broke in through a kitchen window and stole her luxury handbags and fine jewelry, including pieces from Hermès and Chanel, NBC News separately reported.

Stracke and Hilton were both in Las Vegas for BravoCon during the break-ins, and police have not linked the two cases.
