This is despite Starmer’s spokesman saying this morning there was “no role for any government minister of member of government in this decision-making process.” Former Tory leader Sir Iain Duncan Smith told Guido:
“The UK government has been caught red handed killing the prosecution at the demand of the Chinese government. Instead of coming clean it turns out that they have been dodging the charge. Now we know, they are responsible for turning a blind eye to espionage to China, our greatest threat.”
