Lammy Slammed US-UK ‘Trade Deal’ Expected to Be Announced Today – Guido Fawkes

The FT reported on Tuesday that the deal could offer relief for UK car and steel exporters, with 25% tariffs being swapped out for lower levies. Trump’s team is eyeing similar arrangements with India and Japan, though the UK looks set to be first since Trump’s ‘Liberation Day’. The devil will be in the detail, as British firms clobbered by tariffs will not swallow Starmer’s spin…

Downing Street said: “The United States is an indispensable ally for both our economic and national security. Talks on a deal between our countries have been continuing at pace and the prime minister will update later today.”  Trump is expected to go public at 2 pm, though the details are still under wraps. Lammy has remained unusually quiet so far…
