LAPD Moves Fast After Shots Fired Near Rihanna’s Home, Female Suspect Arrested [WATCH]

Police responded Sunday afternoon to reports of gunfire near the Beverly Hills residence of singer and entrepreneur Rihanna, prompting a law enforcement response in the upscale Los Angeles neighborhood, as reported by The Independent Journal Review.

According to information reported by Fox News, officers with the Los Angeles Police Department were dispatched at approximately 1:15 p.m. after receiving a call reporting an “ADW (assault with a deadly weapon) shots fired” incident in the area.

Dispatch audio from the incident indicated that “approximately 10 shots heard” during the episode. The same audio suggested that the shots were fired “from across the street.”

Authorities later said the suspect, identified as a woman, allegedly fired several rounds from inside a vehicle near the property.

Rihanna, whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, was reportedly inside the home when the gunfire occurred, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Law enforcement officials said officers quickly located the suspect following the reports of gunfire. An LAPD spokesperson told Fox News Digital that the woman was “taken into custody without further incident.”

Police confirmed that no injuries were reported during the incident. Investigators also said officers recovered one weapon at the scene.

Authorities have not released additional information about the suspect or the circumstances that led to the shooting. Officials said the situation was contained shortly after officers arrived in the neighborhood.

The property involved in the incident is located in Beverly Hills, an area of Los Angeles known for its high-profile residents and luxury homes. Rihanna has maintained a residence in the Beverly Hills area for several years.
