Before CNN’s Jake Tapper was making the rounds promoting his book on former President Joe Biden’s decline, he was freaking out on Trump family members for discussing the exact same thing.
Perhaps before profiting off the sales of Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again, Tapper should apologize for the way he treated Lara Trump in 2020 when she suggested that Biden was exhibiting obvious signs of cognitive decline. The very accusation visibly disgusted the CNN host, who flipped out and accused her of “mocking” the former president’s stutter. This was a common deflection technique used to shame into silence anyone who spoke up about the concerning signs they noticed.

He also shouted over Lara to tell her that she “has absolutely no standing to diagnose somebody’s cognitive decline,” adding that she should be “more sensitive to people who do not have medical licenses diagnosing politicians from afar.”
Another clip from later in October shows him reporting on Mary Trump, Trump’s antagonistic niece, calling on the American Psychiatric Association to “drop the so-called Goldwater Rule which bars mental health professionals from diagnosing public figures that they have not examined in person” because she believes “psychiatrists know what’s wrong with my uncle.”
