Even former Lakers players don’t believe the bubble ring is real!
After the Oklahoma City Thunder (OKC) defeated the Indiana Pacers in seven games Sunday night, OKC shooting guard Alex Caruso officially put two NBA championships on his resume. And Caruso kept it a bean about how his second title is so much better than his first.
In 2020, Caruso played on the Los Angeles Lakers team that won an incredibly strange NBA Finals that was held at Disney World, making it a “bubble,” during the COVID-19 pandemic. Caruso was key to Los Angeles‘ title run, playing over 24 minutes-per-game throughout the postseason. And though that was ring No. 1, he’ll straight up tell you that the championship with the Thunder is much more different, that it feels “real.” (RELATED: Los Angeles Lakers Sell In Historic Multi-Billion Dollar Deal That Nobody Saw Coming: REPORT)
“Yeah, now I got a real one. Now nobody can say anything. Yeah, I think just because of the way the team is constructed now versus the team I had in 2020, like it was much harder with this team just because of the experience, right?” said Caruso.

The COVID-19 pandemic was such a weird time and the NBA season was so screwy then, you can’t blame people for thinking that the Lakers‘ championship that campaign isn’t real. The shortened season, no homecourt advantage and road warriors, it was just weird and many fans just write it off. Hell, I do too, and my team (Miami Heat) made the NBA Finals that season.
So Caruso isn’t wrong for feeling how he does … I just can’t help but to giggle at that stray that LeBron caught. (LMAO)
