Legendary Jazz Musician Chuck Mangione Dead At 84

Music legend Chuck Mangione died in his sleep in his Rochester home Tuesday. He was 84.

The death of the jazz musician, best known for the hit “Feels So Good” was confirmed by his attorney, according to News 10. The singer famously played the flugelhorn and trumpet with incredible precision, and was inducted into the Rochester Music Hall of Fame in 2012.  His official cause of death was not disclosed.

Mangione won two Grammy Awards, and earned a total of 14 Grammy nominations over the course of his decades-long career.

He smashed records with “Feels So Good,” and the album became one of the most successful jazz records ever produced.  He gained international attention in 1980 when he sang “Give It All You Got” live at the closing ceremonies for the 1980 Winter Olympics.
