While New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) cried foul against the Trump administration over mortgage fraud allegations, an infamous fraudster sought to set the record straight.

Allegations of claiming a Virginia property as her primary residence, misrepresenting the size of another property, and even listing her father as her spouse, all in the name of better mortgage rates, found James asserting victimhood status following a criminal referral to President Donald Trump’s Justice Department.
However, forensic accountant Sam Antar, cousin of infamous 80s consumer electronics fraudster “Crazy Eddie” Antar, detailed to Fox News Digital that his independent efforts were at the heart of an attempt to expose the Empire State’s top cop.
“I don’t know how the wheels of justice will turn and, to be frank, I don’t care as long as I’m right,” explained Antar, who pled guilty to multiple felonies when he cooperated with prosecutors in convicting his cousin. “If they fail to convict her, it’s their humiliation and their embarrassment.”
“It’s not the Trump administration at war with Tish James, it’s me bringing her to accountability and justice,” he went on. “I’m not the Trump administration. I was investigating Tish James because that is what I do.”
Antar contended his findings led the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) to take up the investigation and criminally refer James, “I took all kinds of risks doing it, from retaliation, to libel, to reputational risk. But I stand by everything.”
In addition to the aforementioned allegations stated against James, she was also said to have garnered taxpayer-funded mortgage assistance through the Home Affordable Modification Program.
During an interview, the attorney general offered her denial and attempted to turn the focus to the president when she said, “The allegations are nothing more than a revenge tour,” from the administration after she brought a civil fraud suit against the Trump organization that was appealing the $454 million penalty for misrepresenting its real estate portfolio.
Concerning James, who is being represented by Hunter Biden attorney Abbe Lowell, Antar called out the Virginia residence in particular when he told Fox News Digital, “She gave her relative power of attorney and declared, in a notarized document, that she intended to make the property her primary residence. If that’s true, she’d be disqualified from holding office in New York. Neither she nor the relative filed for a homestead exemption, yet the mortgage was issued under the condition that both would live there. That’s how she got favorable terms.”
Her attorney sought to refute those allegations in a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi that claimed FHFA Director William Pult “absolutely ignored” a statement to the mortgage loan broker that the Virginia property “WILL NOT be my primary residence,” but was instead intended to be the residence of James’ niece.
Meanwhile, having explained that he’d been prompted to look into the NY attorney general’s record after already investigating the costs of private flights James had taken, Antar remarked, “Everything I’ve done is thoroughly documented.”
“This is not bullying. This is not the Trump administration at war. Trump has his own agenda. I don’t care. I am not Donald Trump. All I did was, I did my forensic accounting and I thoroughly documented everything that I did,” he added as he cited documents going back to 1983, arguing James may have been misrepresenting her finances to lenders for decades.
