Looks Like It’s Going To Cost Us An Arm And Leg To Watch Baseball Next Season: REPORT

Damn, it’s getting expensive to be a sports fan.

Just recently, I wrote a blog about how it’s going to cost $671,64 for fans who want to watch every NFL game this season, or $111.94/month for six different streaming services.

With the NFL’s price being utterly ridiculous, it’s easy to laugh, especially when you’re locked into baseball how I am and enjoy the low price for a subscription. But it looks like we baseball fans might not be able to laugh for long, because it appears things are getting expensive. Per the New York Times, NBC and Apple are leading the pack for the rights to “Sunday Night Baseball” and first-round postseason contests, while Netflix is the favorite to land the Home Run Derby. ESPN, they’re seeking out weekday games.

If everything comes together, and it looks like that might be the case, we fans will have to fork out a good chunk of change in order to be able to watch all baseball games featured on national television. And we’ll need subscriptions to all of these streaming services.

  • Peacock: $10.99/mo
  • Fox One: $19.99/mo
  • Netflix: $22.99/mo
  • ESPN DTC: $29.99/mo
  • HBO Max: $9.99/mo
  • Apple TV+: $9.99/mo

Just to be able to watch baseball, that’s a whopping $103.94/month, and just … wow.

My only solution, because companies don’t give a damn about your financial situation: Make more money.
