Patrick Brice, a 28-year-old Baltimore man who assaulted two pro-life activists outside a Planned Parenthood clinic, was given little more than a slap on the wrist for his crime.
Instead of jail time, Brice was sentenced to a year of home detention and three years of probation, even though one of his victims reportedly suffered permanent eye damage in a May 2023 attack caught on video.
Baltimore Circuit Judge Yvette M. Bryant rebuffed prosecutors’ calls for a 10-year sentence after Brice was found guilty of two counts of second-degree assault and reckless endangerment, according to Fox News.
“What about my rights and my well-being?” victim Mark Crosby shouted at the judge as she left the courtroom — Crosby was 73 years old when he was assaulted.
Patrick Brice, who was caught on video violently assaulting and beating two elderly pro-life advocates outside a Planned Parenthood to receive ZERO jail time.
Instead, he will only serve one year of home detention.

“This was not a minor altercation between two parties with differing views on abortion. It was a vicious, targeted assault on two senior citizens whose only ‘offense’ was praying for expectant mothers and offering life-affirming alternatives to abortion,” Tom Brejcha, the President and Chief Counsel of the conservative law firm Thomas More Society, said in a statement.
“One of the victims was knocked unconscious. The other suffered broken facial bones and a lifelong eye impairment. This was an act of cowardice and cruelty, and sheer mayhem. This crime deserves far more serious consequences than a ‘get out of jail free’ card and a one-year home detention that amounts to nothing more than a slap on the wrist,” he added.
Social media users were up in arms over another outrageous ruling by a liberal activist judge — here’s a quick sampling of some of the responses to the story, as seen on Elon Musk’s free speech platform X:
Hey @TheJusticeDept and @AGPamBondi how is this not hate crime?! Also, if it is hate crime, why aren’t you pursuing Federal charges and making sure the suspect spends a long time being rehabilitated? Time to restore justice or things will continue being JUST IS.

Idk if anyone can get ahold of the victims, but people need to understand that they MUST sue these criminals in CIVIL COURT for damages if these creeps are let off criminally.

Woke Baltimore, MD Judge Yvette Bryant needs to find a new career.

If he had shoved a climate activist holding a sign, he’d be rotting in federal prison.
But beat up two elderly pro-lifers?
Enjoy a year of Netflix and DoorDash on the couch. This isn’t justice. It’s regime protection.
