Actor Macaulay Culkin shared a heartbreaking post in reaction to the death of his “Home Alone” mom, Catherine O’Hara.
“Mama. I thought we had time. I wanted more,” Culkin wrote Friday on Instagram. “I wanted to sit in a chair next to you. I heard you. But I had so much more to say.”
The loving note was written alongside a throwback image of himself with O’Hara in 1990, as well as an image of them together in a similar pose in December 2023, demonstrating the many years and tender moments they shared.
The touching message struck an emotional chord with fans, who quickly flooded Culkin’s social media page with messages of love and support.
O’Hara portrayed Kate McCallister in “Home Alone” and will forever be remembered for her iconic performance in the film, which went on to become a beloved pop culture classic.

She died Friday at the age of 71 after at her home following a brief illness, TMZ first reported. The circumstances surrounding her death have not been publicly disclosed. (RELATED: Catherine O’Hara Dead At 71)

Rather than saying goodbye to O’Hara, Culkin signed off by writing, “I love you. I’ll see you later.”
