A new analysis of Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s rulings has revealed that she’s far more left-wing than many had initially thought, thus confirming the right’s fears about her.
Conducted on behalf of the New York Times, the analysis by several law professors found that while Barrett initially sided mainly with the conservative faction of the high court, in recent years, she’s been siding more and more with the liberal side.

Between 2023 and 2024, for example, she sided with the left 91 percent of the time and with the right just 84 percent of the time.
“She has become the Republican-appointed justice most likely to be in the majority in decisions that reach a liberal outcome,” the Times notes.
“When Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan agreed on nonunanimous decisions this term, Justice Barrett joined them 82 percent of the time — up from 39 percent of the time in her first term,” the report continues.
The analysis also found that she had an early habit of flip-flopping a lot. During her first days on the high court, Chief Justice John Roberts assigned her to write a majority opinion in support of allowing the seizure of state property.
The problem was that after she accepted the assignment, she then did a 180 and decided to rule against the seizing of state property.
Amy Coney Barrett just voted in favor of allowing Biden’s federal border agents to dismantle razor fencing set up by Texas agents to stop illegals immigrants entering America.

But there’s good news to report as well. Thanks to some of her rulings, the Supreme Court has moved “dramatically to the right and locked in conservative victories on gun rights, affirmative action and the power of federal agencies,” the Times notes.
The problem is that when it comes to cases directly related to President Donald Trump, the man who appointed her to the high court, “she is the member of the supermajority who has sided with him the least.”
So much so that leftists are starting to look to her for hope.
“It’s all on Amy,” some of the leftists the Times spoke with said.
Her leftward lurch has, of course, also inspired anger from the right.
“We had too much hope for her,” conservative legalist analyst Mike Davis reportedly said in a recent interview. “She doesn’t have enough courage.”
But not everybody thinks she’s really moving to the left.
“It’s a mistake by ignorant conservatives and wishful liberals to believe she’s moderating,” Harvard law professor Noah Feldman told the Times. “She’s exactly the person I met 25 years ago: principled, absolutely conservative, not interested in shifting.”
Perhaps, but her recent decisions haven’t helped her case. Last month, for instance, she needlessly grilled a Trump administration lawyer over birthright citizenship.
Heard below she specifically pestered U.S. Solicitor General D. John Sauer over the administration’s suggestion that it doesn’t follow certain lower court rulings.
Amy Coney Barrett (ACB) is proving once again she may the the worst SCOTUS pick ever by a Republican.

The month before, she joined the high court’s three liberal justices in voicing opposition to President Trump’s use of the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to deport illegal alien gang members.
Thankfully, Chief Justice John Roberts joined the high court’s four other conservative justices in ruling 5-4 to allow Trump to keep the deportations going.
Another month earlier, Barrett voted with the court’s liberal justices, in addition to Roberts, to force the Trump administration to unfreeze payments to the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
Despite her rulings, the Trump administration has chosen to essentially let her off the hook.
Case in point: During a White House briefing in April, a correspondent for Lindell TV questioned Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt about whether the administration was “disappointed” in her.
“Does the administration have a comment on her decision to go with the liberals? … Are they disappointed in Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett?” the correspondent asked.
Leavitt basically said naw.
“We’ve made our feelings very clear,” she began. “We believe this was a massive victory. Certainly, we wish this was a nine-to-nothing decision because we firmly believe that the president was well within his constitutional authority.”
“And the Supreme Court made that very clear last night, and they put Judge Boasberg in his place. We called on the Supreme Court to rein in these judges who are acting as judicial activists, not real arbiters of the truth and the law. And that’s exactly what we saw the Supreme Court do yesterday,” she added.
