Mamdani’s Agenda: Stalinism and Sloth | The American Spectator

If New Yorkers foolishly elect Democrat mayoral nominee Zohran Kwame Mamdani, they should expect the agenda of Karl Marx and the work ethic of Joe Biden. Mamdani’s tenure in the New York State Assembly suggests as much.

The Ugandan-born, Israel-loathing, antisemite routinely sounds like an audio edition of Das Kapital.

Citing a guiding principle of Communism, Mamdani told his fellow members of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) in 2021 that their “end goal” should be “seizing the means of production.” Mamdani proudly wears the far-far Left DSA’s seal of approval. In fact, it’s among his website’s top endorsements. (RELATED: Zohran Has Two Daddies)

Endorsements for Zohran's New York City campaign

NYC’s chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America is on Mamdani’s bandwagon (Zohran for NYC)

Regarding housing, Mamdani argues that “the abolition of private property … is preferable to what is going on right now.” None other than Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels explained in 1848’s The Communist Manifesto:  “the theory of the Communists may be summed up in the single sentence: Abolition of private property.” (RELATED: Reject Radical Mamdani: NYC Mayor Race Has National Ramifications)

Mamdani announced via X on May 24, 2022: “We need to ban all guns.” V.I. Lenin’s Bolshevik regime decreed on December 10, 1918: “All the population and all institutions of the civil administration are obliged to surrender all serviceable and unserviceable rifles, machine-guns and revolvers.” Furthermore, “All permits issued hitherto for the keeping of weapons are deemed invalid.” The disarmed Russian people writhed beneath the Soviet boot until 1991. In the interim, the Black Book of Communism estimates, Lenin and his totalitarian progeny murdered 20 million of their own countrymen. (RELATED: Mayor ‘Madman’ Mamdani Will Do More Economic Damage Than 9/11)

Mamdani’s vote record in Albany confirms that if he went any more Left, he would vanish into negative numbers. The American Conservative Union gave Mamdani a Lifetime CPAC Rating of 3.79 percent, with 100 percent being the most Right. For 2023: 0.00 percent. Mamdani occupies the farthest feather in the Left wing. (RELATED: New Yorkers Will Pay the Price for Mamdani’s Hubris)

Mamdani’s legislative priorities also demonstrate his Leftist extremism.

Under Assembly Bill A54, which Mamdani co-sponsored, “no adhesive-based trap shall be set, placed or used to capture or destroy a rat, mouse or other rodent in any state-owned or state-leased building.”

So, mercy for rats, but Abortion for All.

Mamdani co-sponsored Assembly Bill A4230. This measure “Establishes clean energy goals of reducing the annual total of vehicle miles traveled within the state by 20 percent by the year 2050.” Highway projects would be designed or modified to cut miles driven across New York State via “changes to land use which reduce vehicle miles traveled, including but not limited to residential density increases, mixed-use development, and public transit oriented development; and other measures.”

So, busybodies in Albany would hobble highway work, tinker with zoning, and pack homes together so drivers collectively would cover one-fifth fewer miles in 25 years.

Road trip, anyone?

Mamdani co-sponsored Assembly Bill 7496, The Healthy and Safe Students Act. What could go wrong?

“Each public and charter school shall ensure all pupils receive … in grades kindergarten through twelve, comprehensive sexuality education,” the bill states.

This goes well beyond fallopian tubes, sperm, ova, conception, gestation, labor, and delivery. Mamdani’s menagerie features more than just birds and bees.

Those who design the “comprehensive sexuality education program” should include, among others, people with “educational expertise in intimate partner violence, sexual assault, reproductive and sexual health care, and serving lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth.”

So, what exactly will kids be taught, once again, “in grades kindergarten through twelve?”

As the bill states: “Comprehensive sexuality education shall include, but is not limited to, age-appropriate instruction on: (i) human anatomy, reproduction, and sexual development; (ii) consent, bodily autonomy, boundary-setting, bullying, and peer pressure; (iii) healthy relationships, including relationships involving diverse sexual orientations and gender identities and prevention of intimate partner violence, sexual violence and sexual harassment; (iv) methods for preventing pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections; (v) gender, gender expression, gender identity, diversity of sex characteristics, and the harms of gender stereotypes; (vi) the relationship between substance use and sexual behavior and health; and (vii) the use of technology and social media in interpersonal relationships.”

Wow! Look what we all missed in grammar school.

Such legislation notwithstanding, if Mamdani displayed the diligence and relentlessness of President Donald J. Trump, New Yorkers of all persuasions at least could take comfort in the notion that their mayor labored sedulously on their behalf. Unfortunately, by that measure, Mamdani miserably fails his constituents in Queens’ 36th District.

Dan Clark of the Albany Times-Union probed Mamdani’s attendance in the State Capitol. “He’s recorded as absent from May 12 through the last session day on June 17,” Clark discovered. “Altogether, Mamdani missed 24 days — a third of this year’s legislative session.” Under certain circumstances, Mamdani could have participated virtually, as members have done since COVID. Mamdani, 34, evidently made no such effort. All told, the New York Post reports, Mamdani was AWOL for 231 votes.

“None of this surprises me, as Zohran is a child who’s never accomplished anything in his life, so he really has no concept of responsibility,” says New York City Councilwoman Vickie Paladino. The Republican lawmaker, like Mamdani, hails from Queens.

“The fact is, voters expect all of us to show up for our job,” Paladino tells me. “But his dismal attendance speaks volumes to what Zohran actually views his job to be — not an Assemblyman, but a professional activist who just needs to recite the DSA party line and attend protests while seeking higher office. It’s particularly insidious because the DSA isn’t an organization interested in legislating. They’re interested in Marxist revolution. Unfortunately, this seems to be a broader issue with Democrat politics, and we’re all going to suffer tremendously for it.”

Devoid of practical ideas or the maturity to perform his adult duties, Mamdani has little to offer New Yorkers. He really is just a pretty face.

Conversely, start with proposals to hire 7,000 more cops, slice income and corporate taxes, and wage a War on Litter. Add the wisdom gained from defending the sidewalks of New York as a Guardian Angel. The result is the candidate best prepared to steer Gotham City as far from Karl Marx as possible — and vigorously so: Republican nominee for mayor, Curtis Sliwa.
