According to the police report obtained by the Daily Mail, Cameron “suddenly became upset” during an argument and struck his mother, Diane Marie Cameron, in the face, knocking her to the ground and causing a bloody nose.
Video footage from the scene, which surfaced months after the incident, shows Cameron being subdued by multiple bystanders until park security arrived and detained him.

Nearby, his mother and sister were seen holding napkins to their faces, both appearing to have sustained nose injuries. Parkgoers, including small children, looked on in shock as the situation unfolded.
A witness, Michael Williams, told law enforcement that he saw Cameron punch his mother in the face “in front of his family” and immediately stepped in to restrain him.
“I saw two small children crying and led away by a Disney cast member,” the witness told the Daily Mail. He described Disney staff forming a “wall” to shield other guests from the confrontation until authorities arrived.
Following the arrest, Deputy Dominic Gonzalez of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office documented Cameron’s admission that he had struck his mother out of “frustration.”
Diane Cameron later told police that her son suffers from severe schizophrenia and has a history of hallucinations and violent episodes, though it was not confirmed whether he was experiencing a hallucination at the time of the assault.

Despite the arrest and witness accounts, prosecutors dropped the domestic battery charge during a court hearing in January 2025. The reason for the dismissal has not been disclosed.
Photos posted by Diane and Sarah Cameron on social media indicate that the family has visited Disney World on multiple occasions in the past.
A man who recorded part of the incident, speaking anonymously, said, “My family and I visit Disney parks generally every weekend. This was a rare occurrence at Disney, for sure.” He added that since the incident, he has noticed an increased security presence around the parks.
Disney has not released a formal statement about the incident.
