A large gathering of teenagers at a multi-million-dollar home in Celina, Texas, spiraled into violence over the weekend after a rental booked through Airbnb turned into a massive, unsupervised party that drew hundreds of attendees, as reported by The New York Post.
According to authorities and the property owner, roughly 500 to 800 teenagers and young adults descended on the $4.8 million mansion Saturday night after the event was promoted on social media.
The home, located on more than 18 acres and built in 1996, was originally rented under the pretense of a small gathering.

Here’s What They’re Not Telling You About Your Retirement
Property owner Kishore Karlapudi said the booking was made for a party of just seven people, but the situation quickly escalated beyond what was represented.
“Somebody booked it, saying they needed the property for a party of seven people,” Karlapudi told KDFW.

Karlapudi said the group caused extensive damage inside the home, moving furniture and fixtures to create a makeshift dance floor and leaving behind significant destruction.
“We were totally shocked, and they damaged the property, you know. They took all the furniture out from the living space, and they put it in the garage, he said.
“They took all the wall fixtures, everything out. They broke the wall fixture. They broke, the island was broken. The granite countertop was broken because it looks like kids danced on those.”
Videos recorded inside the house showed large crowds packed into the residence, resembling a nightclub environment rather than a private home. Authorities said the party grew rapidly as it spread across social media platforms.

Celina Police Chief John Cullison confirmed the scale of the gathering and said the situation became increasingly dangerous as officers responded.
“This incident multiplied in numbers due to a social media post advertising a party, which attracted between 500-800 teens and young adults to the location,” Cullison said in a statement Sunday.
Police said officers were attempting to manage the crowd when a fight broke out between two individuals. Video obtained by WFAA reportedly showed one person being dragged across the ground during the altercation.
During the confrontation, multiple gunshots were fired, causing panic among those in attendance.
Officers responded immediately to reports of gunfire at the property.
Authorities later determined that at least four shots were fired near the home, with an additional two shots reported near a nearby college campus where many attendees had parked their vehicles.
Cullison said police also received reports of individuals at the front gate making threats.
“We had shots fired. We had assaults. We had people threatening to kill people. We have bloody sheets on location. All these things are just an incredibly bad mixture that can end up in your child getting hurt,” Cullison told KDFW.
Despite the violence, officials reported no injuries connected to the gunfire. It remains unclear whether a suspect responsible for the shooting has been identified.
Law enforcement officials emphasized that the gathering drew individuals from across the region, not just Celina.
“Not just local kids, but it looks like Dallas and other communities around here. And so, this wasn’t just a Celina concern. This is a metropolitan concern,” Cullison said.
Police made at least two arrests connected to the incident. A minor was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence, while another individual was arrested on an outstanding warrant for aggravated assault.
Authorities described the investigation as ongoing and said additional charges could be filed.
Cullison also warned about the risks associated with large, unsupervised gatherings promoted online.
“Scenes like these highlight the very real risks and dangers associated with large, unsupervised gatherings, especially when fueled through social media and potentially involving underage alcohol or substance abuse,” he said.
“As both your Chief of Police and a parent, I strongly encourage parents in our community to use this incident as a catalyst for having open and direct conversations with their sons and daughters about personal responsibility, wise decision making, and the dangers that can quickly intensify in such environments.”
