Matt Strahm Literally Has Declaration Of Independence Written On Glove, And What An Absolutely Pure American Gem

Consider me a new Matt Strahm fan!

A lot of people say that Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Matt Strahm looks like movie star Nicholas Cage, but quite frankly, I’m not seeing it. But what I do see is that he has an absolutely cool glove that just screams “AMERICAAA! F*** YEAH!” (RELATED: Lee Corso Retiring From ESPN’s ‘College GameDay’ Following One More Episode)

With that being said, Strahm disagrees with me and clearly believes that he looks like Cage like the masses, as he recently made a reference to one of his movies “National Treasure.” Throughout the movie, there’s plenty of connections to American Revolutionary War history and there was a squabble to save the Declaration of Independence from British goons. Strahm made a play off that in the revealing of a custom glove that he made with the Declaration of Independence inscribed on it.

“I stole it, then made a glove out of it,” posted Strahm in an X post.

And to all of the Nicholas Cage fans out there, MLB even played into the comparison.

I mean, I guess I can see it a little bit, but overall, I think Matt Strahm looks like Matt Strahm. Though it’s not a bad comparison, after all, Nicholas Cage has a good amount of banger films.

But I think Strahm deserves his own aura after creating that magnificent glove of his — absolutely gorgeous.
