My editor sent me this out of nowhere, and just, wow.
Just recently, the sports media had a bomb dropped on it after defensive end Maxx Crosby was traded from the Las Vegas Raiders to the Baltimore Ravens, with the Silver and Black receiving two first-round draft picks in the deal. It was a move that stacked up the Ravens’ pass rush, and one that sent Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase on a complete crashout.
Well, apparently that trade is no more. (RELATED: Former NFL Player Darron Lee, Charged With First-Degree Murder, Allegedly Asked ChatGPT How To Cover Up Killing)
According to a statement from Las Vegas, “The Baltimore Ravens have backed out of our trade agreement for Maxx Crosby. We will have no further comment at this time.”
It was a statement that caught all of us off guard, and one that instantly had me asking, “what the hell is this about?”
Well, it looks like we have an answer courtesy of NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, per USA Today, who reported that the nixed trade is a result of Baltimore being hesitant to take on Crosby because of his knee possibly not being healed completely from his meniscus repair.

I don’t blame the Ravens, two first-round draft picks is a lot to give up for somebody with a banged-up knee, and let’s not forget that he’s only a couple of years away from 30.
Yeah, I view it as a bad investment too. It’s just something you can’t trust.
