SiriusXM’s Megyn Kelly asked Thursday how “dumb” former White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre had to be to get “rejected” from a hosting position on ABC’s “The View.”
In a piece published by Politico on Wednesday, Jean-Pierre had reportedly been eyeing a co-host spot on the ABC show while deciding what to do next after leaving the White House but was allegedly rejected. While discussing the former press secretary on “The Megyn Kelly Show,” guest and Blaze TV’s Stu Burguiere discussed how “amazing” the stories coming out of former President Joe Biden’s administration have been.
“You know, the stuff about ‘The View’ is amazing. I mean, do you know how intellectually unimpressive you must be to not be able to impress people on ‘The View’?” Burguiere asked.
“Yes, exactly,” Kelly said. “How dumb do you have to be to get rejected from ‘The View’? Oh my God, it’s horrifying. Can you imagine? She must’ve had to go on some sort of antidepressant after that. I don’t even know what I’d do. I don’t think I could come to terms with that.”
According to Politico’s report, former Biden administration officials told the outlet that no opportunity from “The View” came forward, despite joining the co-hosts in New York to appear on the show and being a subject of other profile pieces.

The former press secretary appeared on the ABC show a handful of times while working for Biden, defending Biden’s mental fitness in July 2024 despite his disastrous debate just a month prior.
“You truly are as dumb as a — just a goat. I just like — they’ll take anybody over there, anybody! And especially if you can say you were the former Biden press secretary and you’re a lesbian and black and you got rejected? You are dumber than dirt!” Kelly added.
“You’re starting, you know, three steps from home in between third base and scoring, and you can’t get across home plate? It’s unbelievable,” Burguiere said. “I mean, ‘The View’s’ basic programming strategy is to do a nationwide search for the four dumbest people on the planet and put them around the table. And they were like, ‘Sorry, Karine, you’re just too terrible, even for us.’”
Reports of what happened within Biden’s administration have begun to surface with the release of Jake Tapper’s and Alex Thompson’s book, “Original Sin,” which details internal concerns over the former president’s mental decline. Speaking to a handful of sources and former aides, the book claims worries about Biden got so severe that some suggested placing him in a wheelchair after the 2020 presidential election.
Despite comments from Republicans about Biden’s mental fitness, the former president’s officials pushed back. With videos circulating online of Biden stumbling and misspeaking, Jean-Pierre labeled them “cheap fakes,” claiming they were made to make Biden look bad. She blamed Republicans.
Jean-Pierre announced Wednesday that she will release her new book, adding she’s leaving the Democrat Party and will detail the “betrayal” from within the party that led to Biden’s withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race.
