Melania Trump releases audiobook of her memoir ‘narrated entirely using AI’

First lady Melania Trump touted “publishing’s new frontier” as she announced the launch of an audiobook version of her 2024 memoir.

What sets the release apart is that a “replica” of the first lady’s voice created by artificial intelligence (AI) was used in the version of “Melania: The Audiobook.”

“I am proud to be at the forefront of publishing’s new frontier – the intersection of artificial intelligence technology and audio,” Trump said in a statement, adding that ElevenLabs AI developed “an AI-generated replica of my voice under strict supervision, which will establish an unforgettable connection with my personal story, in multiple languages for listeners worldwide.”

An English language version of the audiobook is for sale on her personal website for $25 and “multiple foreign language versions will be released at a later date, commencing in Fall 2025.”

Mati Staniszewski, ElevenLabs AI CEO, said the company was “excited that Melania Trump trusted our technology to power this first-of-its-kind audiobook project.”

“We look forward to helping bring this book to the public in many other languages, in Mrs. Trump’s own voice, soon,” Staniszewski said, according to Fox News.

The audiobook will reportedly be promoted in billboards that will be up for one month in Los Angeles and Miami as well as Times Square in New York City, where the video below will be featured:

“Each story shaped me into who I am today,” the first lady told Fox News Digital on the release of her memoir last year.

“Although daunting at times, the process has been incredibly rewarding, reminding me of my strength, and the beauty of sharing my truth,” she said, adding that writing the book was “an amazing journey filled with emotional highs and lows.”
