Michigan’s Jaishawn Barham Seemingly Headbutts Referee In Bizarre Moment

In Saturday’s Michigan-Ohio State rivalry showdown, Wolverines linebacker Jaishawn Barham produced one of the game’s most jaw-dropping moments — and it had nothing to do with the actual game.

It happened when Barham seemed to drive his helmet’s crown directly into the referee‘s chin amid a chaotic scrum at the goal line.

That’s not something you see every Saturday, and quite frankly, something you never should. (RELATED: ‘Dumbest Question I’ve Been Asked’: USC’s Lincoln Riley Snaps At Reporter After Disastrous Loss Against Oregon)

Near the end of the first quarter, with Ohio State knocking on the door, Barham went nose-to-nose with a referee after a disputed call. They were so close they could’ve traded breath on each other’s face shields. (Well, if the referee was wearing one)

Barham surged forward, the crown of his helmet clipping the referee square on the chin, and for one electric second, the whole stadium held its breath waiting for an ejection that … never happened?

Crazy enough, Barham was only hit with a 15-yard unsportsmanlike penalty, and as you’re about to see, America didn’t approve.

We live in a time where nothing makes sense anymore, so this makes all the sense in the world.
