In an exclusive interview with The Ross Kempsell Report on the opening day of President Trump’s state visit, former US Secretary of State and CIA Director Mike Pompeo slammed the Labour government and Keir Starmer. Asked about Labour’s Chaogs sellout, Secretary Pompeo said of Starmer’s National Security Adviser Jonathan Powell: “He’s strategically an absolute fool… it is a small group of islands… no one does travel there, but a lot of military power can and will move through there in the event that we need it… you will have Chinese power projection from that place… you do not want Chinese aircraft flying over Europe out of these islands, that’s nuts”. Pompeo called on Starmer to scrap the Chagos deal and said he thought the US could still reverse it…
On the proposed Chinese mega-embassy in London – now in doubt after key supporter Angela Rayner was removed as Deputy Prime Minister, Secretary Pompeo said: “This is an enormous mistake. This will be a spy ring. This will be an espionage hub… they will be reaching out all throughout your communities to shape the minds of the British people… don’t let them build the Embassy, they have a perfectly fine one [already]… why on earth would you permit them to build a state of the art, massive diplomatic facility that will be used as an outstation of the Chinese communist party?” A former CIA chief warns Starmer against further support for China’s “spy ring” mega-embassy plan…
On the upcoming State Visit Pompeo said: “I hope the Trump administration will come in and be stronger on opposing what Starmer is doing… I find it odd that the Labour Party, this little small piece of the Labour Party is so wedded to handing over Britain’s security, it’s really quite stunning to me as an American to observe that”.
