Most voters view leftist Democratic Party negatively – worst since 1990

A recent poll has more bad news for the Democratic Party, which may not recover anytime soon from their stinging losses in last year’s election that saw the American people overwhelmingly vote to send President Donald J. Trump back to the White House.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the left-wing party is viewed disapprovingly by a near-super majority of Americans, with an astounding 63 percent expressing a negative opinion, the worst rating in the three and a half decades since the newspaper has conducted its surveys.

While the WSJ survey found that voters don’t agree with Trump on a number of issues, they have more trust that Republicans in Congress will address issues than their Democrat counterparts, not a good omen for the party as it looks to retake control of the House of Representatives in next year’s midterm elections.

Even though more respondents disagreed by 17 points on Trump’s tariffs and 11 points on inflation – a testament to the effectiveness of propaganda – they would rather have Republicans address the issues than Democrats who have tripled-down on nearly everything that led to their November 2024 shellacking and are backing an openly “communist lunatic” to be the next mayor of New York City.

A mere 8 percent of voters viewed Democrats “very favorably” in numbers that should be a wake-up call to party leaders, but probably won’t, with there being no sign that they are ready to suck-it up and undertake a course correction back to the middle by rejecting the extremist loons who are firmly in control of the agenda.

Trump has an approval rating of 46 percent, according to the WSJ.

The survey comes after another poll by CNN also showed that the Democratic brand has become toxic to the majority of voters.

According to the CNN survey, which was conducted from July 10-13,  only 28 percent of Americans view the part favorably, continuing the downward trajectory. It was the lowest mark in CNN polling in 30 years, an ominous trend for Democrats who, since last July’s overthrow of then-President Joe Biden, have been completely leaderless as the worst voices in the party have filled the vacuum, with one example being Jasmine Crockett.

In yet another poll, Quinnipiac University found that only 19 percent approved of the job that Democrats are doing in Congress, with 72 percent disapproving.

“That’s an all-time low since Quinnipiac University first began asking congressional approval questions in their surveys 16 years ago,” Fox News reported.

It’s hard to see how constantly taking the wrong side on 80-20 issues such as their defending of criminal illegal aliens is going to shift the political winds in favor of the Democrats who could be on the verge of another national election disaster in 2028 with the frontrunner for the nomination being Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), the ideological thought leader of today’s Democratic Party.
