I’ve read a fair number of Christian parenting books in the last 20 years; this slim volume, however, is one of the best.
Simona Gorton, in Mothering Against Futility, does not seek to give a blueprint for parenting as many do. Instead, she deals with a central concern of many mothers’ hearts: amid the chaos and the mess and the frustration of everyday life with small children, how can all these things possibly be of any eternal significance?
