Brendan Paul, the alleged “drug mule” for Sean “Diddy” Combs testified in court Friday under an immunity deal with the government, according to a report.
Paul was arrested in March 2024 amid Department of Homeland Security (DHS) raids, and he was charged with cocaine possession the following month in connection with the federal investigation into Diddy’s conduct.
Federal agents allegedly found 0.7 grams of cocaine in a bag Paul was carrying, according to The New York Times (NYT).
He testified that he did not tell law enforcement the drugs belonged to the rapper out of “loyalty,” the NYT reported.
Paul testified that he acquired drugs and set up hotel rooms for the purposes of sex and partying as part of his work for Diddy, according to the outlet.
Paul told the court he never believed the “freak-off” nights involved anything criminal, and he testified that the alleged victim “Jane” appeared to have engaged in the sex acts on her own accord, NYT reported.
“Asked by [Diddy’s lawyer] whether Jane ever seemed ‘hesitant’ or ‘apprehensive’ about those nights, Mr. Paul said she did not,” according to the outlet’s report.

Drug use was a key element of the government’s case against Diddy.
Cassie Ventura and “Jane” both testified that Diddy would give them drugs such as Ecstasy or MDMA — which they said they took to disassociate from the allegedly “unwanted” sex acts, according to NYT.
Paul was hired to work as a personal assistant for Diddy in 2022 and was employed for 18 months at the time of his arrest, the outlet reported.
He testified that another member of Diddy’s team told him the job would be all consuming, adding that, “if you have a girlfriend, break up with her” and “you’re never going to see your family,” according to NYT.
“He used to say that he wants us to move like SEAL Team 6,” Paul reportedly told the court.
SEAL Team 6 is the unit that killed Osama bin Laden.
Paul claimed he was instructed to buy marijuana, cocaine, ketamine and a “pink-colored substance called Tusi — which he described as a pink-colored mixture of ketamine and MDMA — as well as prescription drugs,” according to NYT.

The drugs were often contained in a Gucci bag, which became a common term among employees to reference drugs, according to the report.
In one text message, Paul allegedly said that he spent $780 on “personal Gucci items,” according to NYT.
Paul claimed the Gucci bag was taken to “wild king nights,” that he asserted involved “partying, alcohol, sex, drugs,” the outlet reported.
During cross-examination, Diddy’s lawyer Brian Steel addressed the frequency of Paul’s alleged purchases of hard drugs.
Paul testified it was “fewer than 10 times during his 18 months of employment,” according to NYT. (RELATED: Diddy’s Defense Team Left Reeling After Judge Reportedly Dismisses Juror)
“You made it clear to the jury, and you’ve always made it clear, you are not some ‘drug mule,’ right?” Steel asked, the outlet reported.
“Absolutely not,” Paul said.
Diddy has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
