Netflix Thrills Fans With Teaser Clip For Highly Anticipated ‘Peaky Blinders’ Film

Netflix thrilled fans by releasing the trailer for the highly anticipated film, “Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man.”

The clip, released Wednesday morning, begins with Murphy attempting to leave his criminal past behind him, but the shrill sound of a ringing phone drags him back into the streets of Birmingham.

“Whatever happened to Thomas Shelby?” a man said in the voiceover, “that famous gypsy gangster.”

Familiar scenes of rage, violence, and conflict flicker quickly across the screen before the camera settles on a close-up of Murphy’s face.

“I’m not that man anymore,” he said.

Moments later, Thomas Shelby is summoned.

“Tommy, you’ve got to come back.”

Glass shatters, fires erupt, and Shelby returns in his signature trench coat and hat, “by order of the Peaky Blinders.”

It’s undeniably thrilling to see Cillian Murphy slip back into the razor-sharp suit of Tommy Shelby for his epic return to “Peaky Blinders,” a full four years after wrapping the original series. Murphy’s return brings the same icy intensity and magnetic presence that made the series a cultural phenomenon, raising the stakes for the story’s big-screen leap. For fans, his reprisal feels less like a reunion and more like the rightful continuation of a dangerous legacy that was never finished.

The film is slated for release March 6 in select theaters and streams on Netflix beginning March 20.

Sophie Rundle is set to reprise her role as Tommy’s sister, Ada Thorne, with Stephen Graham and Ned Dennehy coming back as Shelby family allies Hayden Stagg and Charlie Strong.

The cast also includes newcomers Rebecca Ferguson, Barry Keoghan, Tim Roth and Jay Lycurgo. (RELATED: ‘It Fetishizes Everything’: Cillian Murphy Talks About His Disdain For Fame)
