‘New York man’ charged for raping corpse an illegal immigrant deported multiple times

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has confirmed that the man accused of committing a heinous crime has been deported from the United States multiple times.

Felix Rojas, 44, was arrested in connection with a shocking and nauseating case where he allegedly robbed and then defiled the dead or dying body of 37-year-old Jorge Gonzalez. The victim had passed away on the Manhattan subway R train, at which point the suspect is accused of rifling through his pockets before raping the man’s body over the course of 30 minutes.

To add insult to injury, ICE officials have confirmed that Rojas had come into the United States from Mexico “on several occasions,” many of which took place in the 1990s. At one point, he was caught attempting to cross again, but was turned around by Border Patrol. Unfortunately, he was able to cross over undetected and has resided in the country under the radar until his arrest on Sunday night.

Per the NYPD, Felix Rojas found a dead or dying father on the New York Subway. Rather than administer first aid or call for help, Rojas allegedly robbed him, then returned to spend thirty minutes raping his corpse.

Prosecutors accuse him of mistreating the body of Gonzalez, who apparently passed away due to natural causes, even going so far as to pull up the victim’s pants and zip up his own while the train stopped in an attempt to avoid being caught in the act.

Rojas is being held without bail on multiple charges of rape and grand larceny.

“An ICE spokesperson — who referred to Rojas as Felix Jeronimo-Rojas — said US Border Patrol ran into him three times in 1998 and once in 1999,” the New York Post reported.

“Rojas voluntarily returned to Mexico each time, the spokesperson said.”

Immigration authorities are uncertain when Rojas entered the United States again, but ICE immediately lodged detainers against this release.
