Newsom suggests Trump will send ICE to polling sites for midterm elections

California Governor Gavin Newsom has emerged as the Democrats’ 2028 frontrunner solely because he has successfully tapped into the Trump Derangement Syndrome of the party’s bat guano crazy base.

Newsom has spent the summer pushing the buttons of the most unstable people in America, selling fear and loathing as he casts a longing eye on the White House. And he is now suggesting that President Donald J. Trump will dispatch Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to polling stations in next year’s midterm elections.

The California governor’s remarks came during an appearance on Friday’s edition of Vox Media’s “Pivot” podcast, telling host Kara Swisher that Trump could “rig” the midterms and that ICE will be deployed to depress voter turnout.

“We have to recognize that there are no limits with this guy. If he could rig next year’s election,” Newsom said.

“He’s already sending out masked people to intimidate folks,” he added. “When we launched our campaign, did it down in Little Tokyo in LA,  do you think ICE is not going to show up around voting and polling booths to chill participation? And you know that, the National Guard, you know that. Everybody knows what’s at stake…”

Other than serving as more fodder for the violent crazies, there could be legitimate concern in Newsom’s prediction considering that the Democrats desperately need their illegal aliens to win back control of the House of Representatives, and then restart their investigations and impeachments of Trump and other members of his administration, which he would use as a springboard to the Democrat nomination.

But it all depends on Democrats being able to run their election cheating and ballot harvesting operations, of which illegal aliens are a vital part.

Newsom has already made his own move to “rig” the midterms by going all-in on a gerrymandering effort that will further disenfranchise Republicans in what has become a one-party state.

The governor has positioned himself as the leader of the resistance by escalating his attacks on Trump and engaging in wild conspiracy-mongering. He also recently claimed that Trump is running again in 2028 despite being constitutionally limited to two terms.

During a conversation with Politico, Newsom complained that people have been sending him red baseball caps with “Trump 2028” written on them before uncorking his conspiracy theory.

I don’t think Donald Trump wants another election,” he told the left-leaning outlet’s Chris Cadelago. “You think for a second he wants? I have two dozen Trump 2028 hats, his folks keep sending me,” adding, “Who spends $200 million on a ballroom at their home and then leaves the house?”

“You people actually think this guy’s serious about having another election? You think he’s joking about 2028?” Newsom asked. “You think when he brings foreign leaders to the Oval Office and he goes to the White House store…and he shows them the 2028 hats, he’s not being serious?”

Newsom’s greatest asset could be his dishonesty, and Trump has already rejected the idea of a run for a third term when asked by NBC’s Kristen Welker about the “Trump 2028” hats.

“I will say this: So many people want me to do it. I have never had requests so strong as that. But it’s something that, to the best of my knowledge, you’re not allowed to do,” the president said. “I don’t know if that’s constitutional that they’re not allowing you to do it or anything else. But there are many people selling the 2028 hat.”
