NFL Hall Of Famer Andre Johnson Falls Victim To Burglary

An icon for the Houston Texans franchise and a Pro Football Hall of Famer, ex-NFL wide receiver Andre Johnson has become the most recent sports celebrity to fall victim to a burglary. The robbery took place at his residence in the Houston area.

Johnson’s house was broken into back in July, with the robbers shattering a window in his bedroom, going into his house and stealing luxury items such as Johnson’s irreplaceable Hall of Fame Ring of Excellence. (RELATED: Nuggets Slapped With Lawsuit By Their Own Mascot)

The bandits also took off with exotic football memorabilia and jewelry, per KPRC 2.

Lil Keke, a Houston rapper and Johnson’s friend, pleaded on Instagram for the community to help Johnson find his ring, saying “That ring isn’t just jewelry, it’s his legacy, his grind, his family,” per OutKick.

At the time of writing, the theft is still under investigation by Houston police. There have been no arrests so far in the case.

Johnson, the very first Houston Texan enshrined into the Hall of Fame after tallying 14,185 receiving yards and seven Pro Bowl appearances, has not publicly commented on the matter.

Johnson’s case is the latest in a string of burglaries that have targeted professional athletes such as Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Los Angeles Lakers point guard Luka Doncic.
