King’s College Hospital NHS Trust is splurging taxpayer thousands on diversity bureaucracy. The same trust, notably, was hit by a cyber attack last year which it admitted contributed to a patient’s death….
Now, instead of shoring up IT systems, the trust is advertising for not one but two top-tier diversity roles: a Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion on £125,000 a year, and a Deputy Director on £96,941. Total bill: £221,941. For that you could:

- Fund 459 overnight hospital stays.
- Hire 7 new nurses.
The trust also came a measly 79th in the NHS Trust rankings. The taxpayer may have a view on which should be prioritised. UK DOGE recommends costs are cut here…
