Actress Nicole Kidman addressed her divorce from country singer Keith Urban for the first time since the couple’s separation in September 2025, discussing the situation during a recent interview while appearing in a new photo shoot, as reported by Page Six.
Kidman, 58, spoke about the end of the nearly two-decade marriage in an interview with Variety that was published Wednesday. The interview accompanied a cover story in which the actress posed for photographs as part of the feature.
The actress acknowledged the challenges following the split but indicated she is focused on moving forward.

“I’m always going to be moving toward what’s good,” Kidman said in the interview. “What I’m grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward. That’s that.”
Kidman also addressed how she and Urban are continuing to approach family life after the separation.

“Everything else I don’t discuss out of respect. I’m staying in a place of, ‘We are a family,’ and that’s what we’ll continue to be,” she said.
The actress also spoke about the couple’s two daughters, Sunday and Faith, who are growing older. Sunday is 17, and Faith is 15.
Kidman referred to them as her “darling” and “beautiful girls,” adding that they are “suddenly women.”
Kidman’s comments mark the first time she has publicly addressed the divorce since news of the split became public in September 2025. The couple had been married for nearly two decades.
Urban and Kidman were married in June 2006. The separation made headlines in September 2025, and the following day Kidman filed for divorce from the Grammy-winning country singer.
The divorce proceedings concluded several months later. The former couple finalized their divorce in January after reaching an agreement on several terms related to custody and financial arrangements.
According to reports, the agreement included waiving all rights to both child support and spousal support.
Custody arrangements outlined in the agreement give Kidman 306 days each year with their daughters. Urban will have custody “every other weekend.”
Urban has not publicly commented on the divorce.
While the Variety interview represents Kidman’s first direct comments about the breakup, she had previously suggested that she was going through a difficult period during a conversation in November 2025.
During that discussion with singer and actress Ariana Grande for Interview Magazine, Kidman was asked how she was doing at the time.
“Hanging in there,” the Oscar-winning actress replied.
Kidman also reflected on filming a sequel to the film Practical Magic alongside Sandra Bullock during the period when news of the separation was becoming public.
She described feeling supported during the production and said she felt “safe” and “protected” while working on the set.
In the months since the divorce became final, Urban has been linked in media reports to other musicians. Reports have suggested the country star was romantically linked to singer Maggie Baugh and country artist Karley Scott Collins.
Collins addressed speculation about a relationship in January, rejecting the rumors in a statement shared with followers.
“Yall, this is absolutely RIDICULOUS and untrue,” the 26-year-old said.
Representatives for Urban did not respond to a request for comment from Page Six regarding Kidman’s interview.
