‘No Kings’ Protestor Turned Into a Speed Bump After Confronting a Sedan [WATCH]

Authorities are investigating a hit-and-run incident that occurred during a “No Kings” protest in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday, where a female demonstrator was struck and injured by a vehicle attempting to pass through a blocked intersection.

The incident, which took place near the intersection of 5th and Hill Streets, was captured on video and has since circulated widely on social media.

The footage shows a young woman confronting a burgundy sedan bearing what appears to be California license plates during a demonstration opposing President Donald Trump and federal immigration enforcement actions.

According to the video, the woman positioned herself in front of the sedan and placed her hands on the hood as the vehicle slowly advanced.

Despite having a green light, the car’s progress was obstructed by the protester, who attempted to physically push back against it.

The sedan then accelerated, causing the woman—believed to be in her early 20s—to fall to the ground.

The vehicle’s front right wheel subsequently ran over her lower leg.

As the injured woman screamed in pain, another demonstrator tried to stop the vehicle but was able to move out of its path before being hit.

The driver did not stop at the scene and fled as other protesters ran to assist the woman.

The video also appears to show a passenger inside the vehicle.

Los Angeles police have classified the case as a hit-and-run.

No arrests have been made as of Monday, and the investigation remains ongoing.

A police helicopter was reportedly dispatched to the area following the incident to assist in locating the suspect vehicle, according to local outlet KTLA.

Los Angeles Fire Department officials confirmed that the victim suffered an “isolated lower extremity injury” after being struck at low speed.

She was transported to a local hospital and is currently listed in stable condition. Her name has not been released by authorities.

The protest in Los Angeles was one of several “No Kings” demonstrations held in cities across the United States over the weekend.

The demonstrations coincided with the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary parade in Washington, D.C., which was supported by the Trump administration.
