Northeast, Mid-Atlantic Could See Halloween Plans Ruined Thanks To Potential Spooky Nor’easter

Halloween and the week surrounding it could potentially be dampened, as the possibility grows for nor’easter development off the East Coast before heading into the Northeast by the middle of the week to its conclusion. Parts of the Mid-Atlantic could also be impacted by rain.

With the potential system being 6-10 days away, the precise impacts, timing and location of the storm still aren’t clear. However, evaluating next week’s pattern, Halloween could see rain and wind, according to NBC Boston. (RELATED: Data Shows 12-Foot Great White Sharks Lingering Off Carolinas Amid Winter Migration)

Around the mid to late portion of the upcoming week, a window will open for powerful storm development, per the outlet. According to multiple forecast models, a strong low pressure system will form along the East Coast, however, other models are keeping the storm farther from the United States or showing it to be weaker.

If the scenario featuring the stronger storm plays out, the Northeast could be slammed with drenching rain and gusty winds throughout Halloween week, while areas of the Mid-Atlantic could also see soggy conditions, according to The Weather Channel. If it’s the weaker scenario, the expected forecast is scattered showers with less impacts.

Fortunately, the risk for coastal flooding should be minor due to low astronomical tides despite the possibility of the storm being strong, unless there’s a significant intensification of the system, per NBC Boston.

The Daily Caller will keep you updated on the potential nor’easter as the week progresses.
