A USGS map compiling user-submitted shaking reports indicates that the tremor was felt down south as far as West Mountain at the southern end of Utah Lake and up north as far as West Bountiful. Salt Lake City also felt the effects.

Residents also took to Reddit’s Utah community to share their experiences. One person described feeling a strong jolt while on the fourth floor of a Lehi building, while another reported that their whole condo building in the city shook noticeably.

This minor quake follows a stronger 4.7 magnitude event that struck Utah around the border of Wyoming two weeks earlier, according to The Salt Lake Tribune. (RELATED: Deep Freeze To Grip Northeast With Life-Threatening, Coldest Weekend Of Winter; Could Trigger Rarely-Seen Warnings)
